I am pretty young and I want to fly. People said that a flight simulator would be good but all we have is laptops and an old computer. The new flight simulator 10 looks like it has to have a powerful computer. I just ordered FS 2002 and I was wondering if it is realistic or not, and if its good overall. I also was wondering if a yoke would be much better than a joy stick and if rudder pedals would be necessary.

There is no FMS that comes with FS2004. So what do you all use to fly real commercial routes. I switched from X-plane to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. X-plane has a FMS in every aircraft. Is there something I need to download? If so could you give me the link?

Wake turbulence is turbulence that forms behind an aircraft as it passes through the air. This turbulence includes various components, the most important of which are wingtip vortices and jetwash. Wingtip vortices can remain in the air for up to three minutes after the passage of an aircraft. Wingtip vortices make up the primary and most dangerous component of wake turbulence. My friend has been playing Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and X for a couple weeks now. He is 100% confident that now, if the scenario arises, he has the ability to safely pilot a Boeing 747 or an AirBus and land it safely, with guidance from ATC.

He is 23 years old, with 0 flying experience on any type of aircraft.

My question is, can you fly a real plane, basing your experience solely on MS Flight Sim?
